I have tried to include the most popular and asked for shots out of the hundreds of deep photos I have. Some were scanned from film. They were all shot in the wild. It was always fun every spring to go out in hunt of the newborn fawns. The mothers will always place them in a safe spot and leave them while she looks for food. I aways considered it a challenge to find one since they will not move until you are right up on them. Sometimes not even then. The Black deer in this gallery are referred to as Melanistic and are pretty rare. These were shot in Texas Hill Country. There parents normally are normal color.
